Polaroid Princess - An Editorial by Mazius Stevens

Polaroids freeze a moment in time, sitting in a box, waiting to be remembered. We shot this story on a sunny day on the Upper West Side, friends in an apartment, all chandelier and faded floral and wood. Looking at these Polaroids now, we feel like oracles; a Saint Laurent nightgown and a handmade hoodie predicting our current uniforms.

This hoodie in particular feels relevant today, created by a friend under the name Negative x Negative; the concept focused around two negatives creating something positive. Today more than ever we feel this. We miss each other. We've all been through something. This collective shift is filled with duality, polarity, and contradictions.

As you flip through our expired Polaroids, we hope you feel something. Something softer, lighter, kinder. A day with friends feels rarer than a tiny tiara sourced in a Tokyo street market or a hand-distressed R13 frayed anorak jacket. It may sound sappy, but sometimes all you need is love, a muse, and a little glitter.
